General Information

The Longfellow House Hospitality Center, which sits on the northwest end of Minnehaha Falls Park introduces the Grand Rounds, a 50-mile outdoor recreation loop in the Minneapolis area.

Other attractions at Minnehaha Falls Park are the John H. Stevens House Museum, the Princess Depot, and the Minnehaha Falls Off-leash Dog Park.

A minimal number of parking spots at the Longfellow House allow for 10-minute parking or parking spaces at the park are available for reasonable rates.

Activities

The park contains four outdoor picnic sites and a picnic shelter with cooking and restroom facilities. Paved trails offer visitors the opportunity to see the park on bike or foot. Visitors can also walk along the Minnehaha Creek and follow it as it makes its way to the Mississippi River.

Hours

The park is open from 6:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. ("undeveloped" areas) and until midnight elsewhere.

Direction

To get there from Interstate 94, take the Cedar Avenue exit and head south away from downtown. Turn left onto Hiawatha Avenue and follow it south until you see a park entrance on the left.
