Josh Lawrence, who also lived on Carroll's Creek, shortly after Lauderdate was massacred, was out one damp, foggy morning, a short distance from his house, searching for the milk cows. He was also murdered by Indians. Lawrence was scalped, and buried in the Carroll's Creek Graveyard.

Was wondering if you had come a cross anything on Capt. Enoch M. Jones, his son and two black workers being killed about 12 miles East of Jacksboro on the 13th of Sept. 1866 at Beans crossing? This was found in the Dallas Herald News Paper 6 Oct. 1866. Find enclosed the News Paper writing. Looking for the grave site of Enoch & son with workers. Do you know of any cemeteries close to Beans crossing that would be worth looking into or any information maps to help me?
